Academics
Academic Goal
Our college is committed to fostering a dynamic academic environment that promotes intellectual growth, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. We aim to provide high-quality, inclusive, and holistic education that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to excel in their chosen fields and contribute meaningfully to society. Through a blend of rigorous academic programs, innovative teaching methodologies, and a focus on research and practical application, we strive to nurture competent, ethical, and socially responsible individuals prepared for global challenges.
Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar of our college outlines the essential schedule for the academic year, ensuring a balanced and structured approach to education. It includes important dates such as the commencement of classes, internal assessments, semester breaks, examinations, and holidays. The calendar serves as a guide for students, faculty, and staff to plan and manage academic activities effectively. With a focus on both academic rigor and personal development, the calendar reflects the college’s commitment to fostering a supportive and organized learning environment throughout the year.
Value Added Courses
As part of our commitment to holistic education, the college offers a range of Value Added Courses designed to enrich the academic experience and enhance personal and professional development. Courses such as CPIEE (Certificate Programme in Inclusive and Experiential Education) aim to foster inclusive learning practices and innovative teaching approaches. The Inclusive Education course equips students with the knowledge and sensitivity to support diverse learning needs, promoting equality and accessibility. Additionally, the Health and Lifestyle Management through Yoga course emphasizes physical well-being, mental balance, and healthy living habits. Together, these programs prepare students to become well-rounded individuals, ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
Community Concerns
Students are sensitized to the needs of the differently-abled and underprivileged within their communities. They are encouraged to take responsibility and actively contribute through the following initiatives:
• Adopting a neighbourhood school to support and uplift local education.
• Initiating Adult Literacy Programmes to promote education among uneducated adults.
• Organizing Health and Sanitation Drives to spread awareness and improve community hygiene.
• Participating in Operation ‘Green Gold’, including tree planting, rainwater harvesting, and other environmental sustainability efforts.
Additionally, students participate in meaningful visits to:
• Old Age Homes to engage with and support the elderly.
• Special Needs Schools to understand and assist in inclusive education.
• Rural Camps to gain exposure to rural life and contribute to community development.
